Shoveling Snow

We begin with a variation on the lyrics for the Rodgers and Hammerstein
song, “It Might As Well Be Spring.”
I’m as frozen as a snow cone in a freezer,
I am sick of winter winds that really sting.
I’d say that I had spring fever
But in Rexburg there’s no spring!…
One thing we do plenty of in the winter is shovel our driveways. According to the U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission, in 2007, more than 118,000 people were treated for injuries sustained while shoveling or otherwise removing ice and snow annually. In that same year, more than 15,000 were injured using snow blowers (from the Living Well Magazine website).
